How do I clean copper?

Copper will naturally darken over time when exposed to air or water. Here are a few at home remedies can keep your jewelry looking new, in case you don't like the vintage look when it darkens: 

* Copper: Sprinkle salt over a cut lemon half. You can use cornstarch and baking soda for a deeper cleaning. Rinse with a cotton cloth and let dry.

* Use a jewelry polishing cloth. You can get polishing cloths at jewelry stores or online.

Green Skin?
Depending on your body chemistry and P.H. balance, some people may find that after prolonged contact with skin, copper may turn skin a greenish color. This is not harmful or permanent and will come off with regular soap and water. Copper cannot damage or stain your clothing.

Make sure you store your jewelry in a clean, dry place. Please do not keep your jewelry pieces in excessive temperatures or directly in the sunlight. The best way to store your jewelry would be to Keep your jewelry in a soft material lined jewelry case or box. It will not be a good idea to jumble your jewelry in a drawer or jewelry box, because pieces can scratch each other and become tangled. Furthermore, handle your jewelry carefully because gemstones are natural fragile materials and can break if dropped or handled roughly.
Please do not wear your gemstone pieces in saltwater or swimming pools that contain harsh chemicals, such as chlorine or detergents. These chemicals may erode the finish or polish of the gemstones. Some beauty supplies such as hair spray, or perfume may cause jewelry to become dull over time.
